Number of Braille modules

The Number of braille modules, which a line can have, varies today with mobile Braille displays from 18 to 40 places, with stationary from 60 to 88 places.

Control elements

Here we document, which control elements the specified products have. For instance cursor routing keys rank among control elements, scrolling keys or navigation borders.

Other components

Further components mean f.e. batteries and/or akkus, additional hardware or further internal software for the braille display.

Mass

The size of the braille display is indicated in width x depth x height in mm.

Weight

Actually the weight is - like the mass - relevant for the mobile employment of a braille display. The weight can vary with mobile braille displays from 740 g to 3.3 kg and with stationary displays from 1,1 kg to 4.7 kg.

Connection types

Here we document, which interfaces belong to the braille display. Important interfaces for additional adaptions are such as headphones, loudspeakers or microphone, and all interfaces in order to connect the Braillezeile with other devices (PC, mobile phone).
