Criteria for the product selection
Offerer
If more than one offerer is indicated here, inquire yourself also
about service and support achievements of the respective dealer.
Interfaces
In order to attach the printer to the PC, suitable connections must
be present. Kinds of connection can be: serial connection, parallel
connection, USB connection as well as IP (network interface).
Kind of printing
Usually the kind of printing differentiates between one-sided and
double-sided prinitng. Double-sided prinitng means that the front and
back of the paper can be printed on.
Kind of paper
We differentiate between two kinds of paper: Single sheets and
continuous form. Depending upon kind of paper an own slot is usually
needed, which sometimes only optionally belongs to the offer. Single
sheets are suitable for hard copies of short texts or notes. It is
favourable that you don't have to separate the paper any longer
laboriously, as it would be the cas ewith continuous form. Continuous
form is usually available on a role. It is suitable to hard copies of
longer texts, because the printers can process these better on
continuous form. A further advantage from continuous form is that the
page length can be specified.
Print rate
The print rate is important if hard copies are intended in larger
quantities. We indicate it according to the data of the offerers either
in indications per second or, particularly in the case of very fast
printers, as sides per hour or minute.
Page width
Braille embosser usually print on different paper pulps. Here we
indicate the min. and/or maximum width of the paper for this printer.
As unit we selected centimeter data. Offerer frequently indicate this
mass also in tariff.

Mass
The size of the printer is indicated in width x depth x height in cm.
Weight
Actually the weight - like the mass - is relevant for the mobile
employment of the equipment. With the specified braille embosser the
weight varies between 4,5 and 32 kg.
Language company
Some braille embosser have an acoustic output, which accompanies the
operation or gives data about paper conditions. This is relevant, if
blind users serve the printer. We document whether a language company
takes place at all. The offerer provides information about it to you.
Recommended place of work
For which place of work of the printers is suitable, depends on the
weight, the size or print rate. Usually we orient ourselves at the
recommendations of the offerers and differentiate between the
employment at home, at the stationary job, the mobile employment as
well as the employment for larger pressure projects as with respect to
printing offices.
