The product descriptions are based on manufacturer data (folder material and internet presentations). We strive for completeness, however, we cannot guarantee these. Blindows 4.10

Braille display:
All Audiodata braille displays BM 24, BM 40, BM 40+, BM 80, all braille displays of BAUM Retec AG and PRONTO!. Blindows 4.10 decreeds a braille manager; any braille displays can be used parallel. For USB devices further CeBoxes and braille displays can be used parallel. Foot switch for freehand navigation.
Connection braille display monitor:
For all named braille displays connection of a braille display monitor is possible.

The connection of a braille display monitor is only possible for few braille displays. Please ask your supplier.

JAWS for Windows, Version 6.20, JAWS Professional

For minimum a setting of 256 colours and resolution of 800*600 is recommended, also 1024*768 and higher colour values are adjustable.

The appropriate speech synthesizer is Eloquence. 16 soft- or hardware speech synthesizer are compatible for Jaws.
Braille display:
Recommended are FreedomScientific Focus braille displays, Papenmeier Braillex EL, Handy Tech (any design), all braille displays of hedo company, and Alva Satellite. Altogether 28 braille displays can be runned with JAWS.
Connection braille display monitor:
For all named braille displays the connection of a braille display monitor is possible.

Under Windows NT soundblaster (dual) recommended. Under Windows 2000/XP any sound card usable.
Graphics card:
Super VGA graphics card
screen settings:
for screen settings true color and a resolution from 800*600 is recommended. Higher resolution possible, too.
Speech synthesizer:
the appropriate speech synthesizer is IBM via voice Outloud. Any speech synthesizer with SAPI resp. SSIL interface can be installed.
Braille display:
The Manufacturer recommends braille display DM 80 plus, vario 40, vario 80, SuperVario, Pronto and PocketVario. Recommended are all braille displays of Audiodata company, too. Altogether there are 56 braille displays running with Virgo 4.5.
Connection braille display monitor:
For all named braille displays the connection of a braille display monitor is possible.

the appropriate speech synthesizer is Eloquence. All SAPI 4.x and 5.x speech synthesizer are compatible, nearly all current hardware speech synthesizer are compatible.
Braille display:
Recommended are Papenmeier Braillex EL, Handy Tech (any model) and all braille displays of hedo company. Window-Eyes supports all well-known braille displays.
Connection braille display monitor:
A braiile display monitor is activateable independent of a braille display.
